To complement its recently-launched portfolio of post-sales maintenance packages, the dynamic QR codes generated by the firmware of its latest coders provide faster access to the correct resolution of unforeseen faults with automatic, tailored entry into the 24/7 AI-powered Virtual Assistant.
With one scan of the dynamic QR code with any smartphone, the customer’s coding hardware is automatically identified and the printer operator is taken to the correct troubleshooting steps for the particular fault. The dynamic QR and Virtual Assistant helps to reduce printer downtime, with the latter also facilitating a quick escalation path for issues that cannot be resolved in real-time.
The Virtual Assistant QR has already been incorporated into some of the most popular Markem-Imaje coders, including: the 9750 Series and newly-launched 9712 continuous inkjet (CIJ) coders; the SmartDate® X45 and X65 thermal transfer overprinters (TTO); and, within large character TouchDry® inkjet (LCIJ), the 5940 G. In the coming months, this time-saving perk will be extended across more of its coders, including the different laser types in the Markem-Imaje range.
“We tirelessly endeavor to provide the most useful services and features for our valued customers in multiple market verticals across the globe to help them boost their production efficiency and make their coding operations as smooth and unhindered as possible,” says Sean Cox, Director of Global Services at Markem-Imaje.
“Our new dynamic QR code feature marks another step in our mission to provide as much support in near real-time as possible to bridge the impact of skill gaps in highly-specialized fields like printer maintenance and to help boost our customers’ uptime by limiting the requirement for visits by engineers or for awaiting support, wherever possible,” Sean Cox adds.
