In 2020, we completed a materiality assessment to identify and prioritize risks and opportunities linked to sustainability topics. Our vision is directly linked with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve a better sustainable future for all.
The SDGs explicitly call on all businesses to apply their creativity and innovation to solving sustainable development challenges.
In focusing our efforts, we are constantly revisiting our corporate social responsibility (CSR) to drive growth and innovation sustainably while reducing risk, and fostering transparency and trust.

As a business, we have a supplier membership of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) and regularly review our SMETA audits.
Markem-Imaje India has received the EcoVadis Gold Medal for its ESG performance. The site has advanced in environmental policies, labor practices, human rights, and ethical measures.
This award places Markem-Imaje India in the top 3% of companies in its sector of activity assessed by EcoVadis.
In March 2024, Markem-Imaje US, Keene, achieved the highest EcoVadis certification, the Platinum medal. The site's dedication to sustainability, proved by its environmental and social goals shared in our ESG Brochure, and our sustainable procurement practices have been instrumental in achieving this remarkable feat.
Markem-Imaje has achieved the EcoVadis Platinum rating for its Bourg-lès-Valence, France production site. This is the highest rating awarded by this platform. Markem-Imaje is in the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the Manufacture of special-purpose machinery industry.
Markem-Imaje China Co Ltd has successfully achieved has successfully achieved its second Silver Medal. Markem-Imaje China is in the top 9% of companies rated by EcoVadis within our industry category.
