With wine soon to be required to comply with EU ingredient labeling requirements, wine manufacturers will face new complexities with using a one size fits all ingredient labeling approach as the exact composition of wines may actually change following the production, bottling and storage of a wine.

A major change for all EU wine producers and those supplying the market will mean that, from 8 December this year, wines will, for the first time, require extensive late-stage ingredient and nutritional information included on their physical and/or digital wine labeling.
