World Environment Day 2024 is celebrated globally on June 5. Our ecosystems are in danger. According to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, “up to 40 percent of the planet’s land is degraded, directly affecting half of the world’s population. The number and duration of droughts has increased by 29 percent since 2000.” Now, more than ever, it is time to join forces to stop this threat.
